"A deadly combination of fast food, red meat and too little exercise is putting people at heightened risk of colon cancer. There is one easy way of gauging how big a killer colon cancer is in a country and that's to look for the golden arches of a fast-food restaurant, says cancer specialist Jonathan Sham Shun-tong." Asia Health news further adds: "If those arches are there, then it is highly likely colon cancer will be on the rise, he argues. Why? Because the existence of fast-food chains is evidence that the population of that country has adopted a Western diet, says Sham, and with it the red meat and animal fat that are known to put people more at risk to colon and rectal cancer. |

According to definitive research done by Alternative Medicine, on any given day we can consume hundreds of different types of pesticides through our foods. They suggest that in fact if all the residues we ingest were totaled up daily, that pesticides would exceed 500% of the allowed daily intake. This is what they say: " Over 400 pesticides are currently licensed for use on America's foods and, every year, over 2.5 billion pounds are dumped on croplands, forest, lawns, and fields. A person can get several types of pesticides with a salad, different ones ones in meat or fish, still others in vegetables on the side, and a separate dose with desert. Wine has pesticides and, in many areas, water as well. In a single meal, a person would easily consume residues of a dozen different neurotoxic or carcinogenic chemicals." WOW! And we wonder why we keep getting all types of cancers. Clearly, we need to pay more attention to what we are eating. Remember, most cancers are derived through environmental factors. See more in my book "Memoirs of Cancer." This book is more than just cancer stories. It is a wealth of medical, financial, and alternative foods information.

After losing a close friend to breast cancer, Jennifer embarked on a personal journey to choose healthier food and personal product options for herself and her family. As her daughter Jacy became a teenage, the two began to seek out healthy and effective deodorant options. They soon realized that many healthier options were not effective or pleasant to use. Ultimately they developed their own safe and effective alternative: JACY DEODORANT. They created a unique (patent pending) simple blend of sodium bicarbonate and essential oils. |

General Information on vitamin D Vitamin D is not actually a vitamin—a vitamin is an essential nutrient that must be obtained from food. Instead, vitamin D is a hormone that our bodies make from a type of cholesterol in our skin after it is exposed to ultraviolet B radiation from the sun. The active form of vitamin D is 1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D, but it is not a good measure of vitamin D status. |

This short video clip is part of a larger discussion on health factors that affect the potential for longevity of American citizens. The speaker, Dr. Joseph Maroon, hypothesizes that since our genes control everything in our bodies, to a certain extent, we are in control and can prevent ourselves from getting cancer. He explains that our bodies contain Intrinsic and Inherited genes that comprise 30% of our lifespan capabilities. He says the other 70% is comprised of Epigenetic factors that we actually can control. |
