There are numerous drugs being used for chemotherapy. Doxil is one of them, and can be used to treat Secondary Liver Cancer, as was the case with one of the cancer patients from the book "Memoirs of Cancer." She was put on Doxil she wound up with an increased heart rate to the point that the emergency room she went to had to use the 'paddles' on her to slow her heart rate down. "Doxorubicin or Doxil can cause a decrease in the number of blood cells in your bone marrow. Prolonged use of Doxil can also cause heart damage, even years after you have stopped taking Doxil. |

"Most of the time when cancer is found in the liver, it did not start there. It started somewhere else in the body and spread to the liver. This is calledmetastatic cancer. This can happen to people with advanced breast cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, and many other cancers, too. Under a microscope, these cancer cells in the liver look like the cancer cells that they came from. If someone has lung cancer that has spread to the liver, the cells there will look and act like lung cancer cells and they will be treated the same way. |
